THE IMPLEMENTATION OF QUESTIONS STUDENTS HAVE (QSH) STRATEGY IN TEACHING PRONOUNS ( A Quasi Experimental Research at the Tenth Grade Students of MAS Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon )

This thesis entitled “The Implementation of Questions Students Have
(QSH) Strategy in Teaching Pronouns A Quasi Experimental Research at
the Tenth Grade Students of MAS Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon. Most students
got problems and trouble in mastering pronouns and the teacher should apply the
strategy to solve those problems. In this research, the reseacher focused only on;
personal pronoun (subject pronoun and object pronoun) and possessive pronoun.
The purpose of this research was to know significant effect in achievement
between the students who were taught pronouns by using Questions Students
Have (QSH) strategy from those who were taught pronouns by using conventional
strategy. The problem of this research“Is there any significant effect in
achievement between the students who were taught pronouns by using Questions
Students Have (QSH) strategy from those who were taught pronouns by using
conventional strategy”. This research was Experimental Research by using quasi- experimental design. The population of this research was 123 students of the tenth
grade students of MAS Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon. The researcher took two classes
as the sample; they were 22 students from class X
2 as experimental group and 20
students from class X
3 as control group. The total sample was 42 students. The
sample of this research selected by using simple random sampling technique. The
data was collected through pre-test and post-test and then analyzed by using
statistical formula t-test. The result from analyzing the data showed that there
were a significant different between the experimental and control groups. The
score of experimental was higher than control group. The students score was
analyzed by using t-test formula. Based on the research result, it was obtained that
> , 3,018> 1,684. So, score was higher than the critical value of
table, it means that the research hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, while null
hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. As a result, the researcher concluded there was
significant effect of achievement between the students who were taught pronouns
by using Questions Students Have (QSH) strategy from those who were taught
pronouns by using conventional strategy to the tenth grade students of MAS Al- Muslimun Lhoksukon. The Implementation of Questions Students Have (QSH)
strategy in teaching pronouns was effective at the tenth grade students of MAS
Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon. So, Questions Students Have (QSH) strategy have
influenced and can be used for pronouns teaching.
