AN ANALYSIS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE CONTAINED IN THE NOVEL LORD OF THE FLIES BY WILLIAM GOLDING (Library Research)

This thesis is entitled “An Analysis Of Educational Value Contained in The
Novel Lord of The Flies by William Golding (A Library Research)”. The
researcher choose this title because the educational value is significantly used in
our life as it is one of the way to enrich children points of view how to live their
life. Novel is one of literary work. Novel as books like other knowledge can also
be used as a medium of education. The purpose of this research is to find out the
educational values that contained in Lord of the Flies novel by William Golding.
The design applied in this research was qualitative research. The techniques of
collecting data was primary data and secondary data. The objects were Ralph
character. As the result, the researcher found that there were three kinds of
educational values found in the novel. Those are educational values of moral,
educational values of social, and educational values of culture and the total of
educational values that has been found an analyzed by the researcher were twenty
six data.
