This thesis entitled “A Study of Language Gender Used by Male and Female
Teachers’ in Teaching English Lesson (A Research at MTs Negeri 4 Aceh
Utara)”. Good and qualified teachers are essential for efficient functioning of
educational systems and for enhancing the quality of learning. Research supports
this notion that a good teacher and actions to be taken on his part in the classroom
play a vital role in provoking effective and efficient learning on the part of the
students. The difficulties can be referred to a lack of knowledge, understanding
the difficulty of learning materials, as well as difficulties in tasks and completing
practice questions in English. In particular, the difficulties encountered by the
students cannot be mastered the basic competencies specific subjects for speaking.
The problem of the research that what is the difference of language used by male
and female teachers in teaching English at MTs Negeri 4 Aceh Utara? and how is
language delivered by male and female in teaching English at MTs Negeri 4 Aceh
Utara?. The method in this research, the design applied is descriptive qualitative
approach. To get the data the writer used some techniques, they were observation,
interview and documentation. The result of the research that the difference of
language used by male and female teachers in teaching English at MTs Negeri 4
Aceh Utara that female teacher more active while male teacher is not active in
teaching learning process. Male teacher has not good pronounce in speaking while
female teacher has good pronounce in speaking. Students prefer the learning
process with female teachers, because female teachers are more active, friendly,
pleasant to hear, not vacuum, and more active, if male teachers tend to be vacuum
and boring, so students do not have motivation in teaching and learning. Female
teachers often prepare props when the learning process. The male teacher prefers
to use methods in presenting the material in order to increase student interest, and
students can also understand the teacher's explanations well, teachers also often
use media, such as pictures, recorder types, sound speakers and other teaching
aids related to English material. Language which is delivered by male and female
in teaching English at MTs Negeri 4 Aceh Utara that on delivering the language in
learning male teacher is not delivering some methods while female teacher used
some methods even technique or model in teaching learning process. Male teacher
teach the students with conventional methods. When teaching English, male
teachers have never used varied methods or models but has the differences
between female teacher, female teacher is delivering more ways to make the
student more understanding in learning English to achieve minimum
completeness criteria score. Male teacher have the same language pronunciation
as Indonesian while female teacher speak English almost the same as the native
speaker language style.
