Abstract
This research is to analyze and describe, legislative political communication, and
political participation of society. This study uses literature study method in data
collection. Data is obtained from documented materials in the form of books,
encyclopedias, journals, articles, and other documents related to research
problems. The results of the study show that the nature of political communication
seen from its purpose is the efforts of groups of people who have a certain
political or ideological orientation in order to master and or gain power, with the
power to which the goals of political thought and ideology can be realized. The
success or failure of political communication carried out by political
communicators will be seen in the political participation of the people during the
election. Election is a political market where individuals / communities interact to
make social contracts between election participants (political parties) with voters
(people) who have the right to vote after first conducting political activities. The
voting behavior as the voting process is understood as the political participation of
the community. In the analysis of modern politics, participation is included in
important matters that have recently received much attention in developing
countries.
