THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THINK TALK WRITE STRATEGY IN TEACHING WRITING (An Experimental Research at SMA 1 TANAH JAMBO AYE)
XMLThe research entitled “The Implementation of Think Talk Write in Teaching Writing (an Experimental Research at SMA 1 Tanah Jambo Aye). Many students can write but they are still confused in understanding vocabulary they have used in their writing. When the researcher taught them, the researcher asked to write simple sentences. When they wrote simple sentences they cannot distinguish the using of to be for singular person and plural person. The researcher wants to know why the students still confused in using appropriate vocabulary in writing. Based on the reason, the research problem is; Is there any significant difference in achievement between the students who are taught writing through Think-Talk-write strategy from those who are taught through conventional method?.The purposed is; to find there is any significant difference in achievement between the students who are taught writing through Think-Talk-write strategy from those who are taught through conventional method. This research was conducted in quantitative research design. The researcher used quasi experimental. Population is the totally of the research subject. The population in this research was the eleventh grade students of SMA 1 TANAH JAMBO AYE. There were three classes in the tenth grade; there were class XI1 consisted of 25 students, XI2 consisted 25 students and XI3 consisted 24 students. So, the total number of the population in this research was 74 students. The samples chosen in this research will be the whole students of class X2 and X3 of SMA 1 Tanah Jambo Aye. Class X2 consist of 25 students is chosen as experimental group and class X3 consist of 25 students is chosen as control group. The instrument used by researcher are pre-test and post-test. The ttest found in this research was 2.99. Meanwhile, ttable was gotten from the list of distribution value t_0,05 with degree of freedom = 48, the researcher used interpolation approach and obtained t_((0,05)(48))= 1.67. So,〖 t〗_test > t_table = 2.99 > 1.67. It mean that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, Think-Talk-Write strategy significantly affects the students’ ability in mastering writing.
