AN EDUCATIONAL VALUES IN AHMAD FUADI’S NOVEL NEGERI LIMA MENARA

The title of this thesis is “An Educational Values In Ahmad Fuadi’s Novel
Negeri Lima Menara”. In each novel there are values that can be modeled for the
reader. So, the researcher wants to find value, especially the value of education
contained in the novel Negeri Lima Menara. The purpose of this research was to
describe the kinds of educational values that depicted in novel Negeri Lima
Menara and to know how does the author presents those values. The researcher as
the primary instrument for making sense of the phenomenon under study. Data in
this research is analyzed by using library research. The researcher does data
analysis by using six steps, namely; finding the novel reading the novel many
time, choosing the description of important material from provided source,
identifying and collecting some data which tell about educational value from the
novel, finding relevant articles, books and biography to get more specific
information, and the last after finding relevant information. The researcher
reviewed and arranged library materials in according to the range of important
relevant problem of the research. Results of research data obtained explaining the
meaning of each phenomenom, so that it can be included in each category of
educational values. The researcher found fourteen models of educational values in
novel Negeri Lima Menara. Those are: Accomplishment, Affection, Courage,
Morality, Altruism, Patience, Knowladge, Punctuality, Cooperation, Diligence,
Freedom of concience and expression, Hard work, Friendship, Respect for creator.
