AN ANALYSIS OF VALIDITY TEST IN READING COMPREHENSION (Descriptive Research at the Tenth Grade Students of MAN 3 Aceh Utara)

The title of this thesis is “An Analysis of Validity Test in Reading
Comprehension to the Tenth Grade Students of MAN 3 Aceh Utara”. Reading comprehension test made by teacher should be used five aspects reading
comprehension namely; identifying main idea, identifying specific information,
determining references, understanding vocabulary, not only fulfill two aspects and
content validity of a test is the measures certain specific objectives that are
parallel to the material or content of the lessons provided in the curriculum. The
problem of research were How is the content validity of reading comprehension
test made by teacher at MAN 3 Aceh Utara and What aspects of reading
comprehesion are used by the teacher in the test? The purposes of the research
were to see the content validity of English test in reading comprehension made by
teacher at MAN 3 Aceh Utara and to see aspects of reading comprehension used
by the teacher in the test. The design of the research is a descriptive qualitative
approach. The subject of research was the teacher and tenth grade students of
MAN 3 Aceh Utara. In this research, the researcher used the instrument are
documentation and interview. The result in this research were reading
comprehension test made by teacher to tenth grade students of MAN 3 Aceh
Utara is validity in content validity. The teacher used two aspects of reading
comprehension and the question of reading comprehension test is valid in content
validity with English syllabus.
