AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ AWARENESS IN ANALYSING ERROR SENTENCES (Case Study at SMAN 1 Syamtalira Bayu)

This research entitled “An Analysis of Students’ Awareness in Analysing
Error Sentences (A case Study at SMAN 1 Syamtalira Bayu). This research was
done because the students have done a lot of errors in constructing sentences and
some students aware in analysing grammatical errors in their writing sentences.
The lack awareness of students can reduce the success in learning process. The
students’ ability to identify problems in sentences can be a benchmark for student
awareness in implementing what has been learned. The purpose of this research to
describe types of domain language awareness were found in analysing error
sentences by the students and to investigate the students aware of analysing error
sentence. The method used in this research was a case study included as
qualitative research. The subject of this research were nine students of third class
at SMAN 1 Syamtalira Bayu. The Technique of data collection were
documentation and interview. The result of this research were found that types of
domain language awareness in analysing error sentences. Firstly, cognitive
domain based on the students knowledge and understand about English. The
affective domain based on students experience, feeling and mental thinking in
analized and completed the error sentences. Social domain and power domain
based on students learning habits and respond to solve problem in learning
English. The last, performance domain based on students activity and their
practice English. Researcher also found the percentage of students aware in
analizing error sentences, based on percentage that the students aware in analysing
error sentences.
