THE ANALYSIS OF COMPREHENSION LEVEL OF READING EXERCISE IN ERLANGGA ENGLISH BOOK FOR THE NINTH GRADE (A Library Research)

The title of this research is: the analysis of comprehension level of reading
exercise in erlangga english book for the ninth grade (a library research ). the
analysis of comprehension level of reading exercise in erlangga english book for
the ninth grade (a library research ). Reading has many purposes in human life.
One of the purposes of reading in any language is to get meaningful information
on a certain things.One purpose of reading in any languages in mainly to know
information from the text.The overall purpose for teaching reading is to develop
in the reader, abilities, attitudes, and skill. Because the reader need to obtain
information, fostering, reaching to ideas, developing interest and pleasure with
reading.This study used a Library Research design. It was designed as the
systematic study and investigation of some aspect of library and information
science where conclusions were based on the analysis of data collected in
accordance with pre-established research designs or theory, and methodologies.
Furtherly, Since the study descriptive qualitative, Qualitative research was a kind
of research that was inventions not found through statistical procedure .The results
of this research were used in order to find out the levels of comprehension which
is used in reading comprehension achievement and presented in reading exercise
of the English on Sky for the 9th grade and When English Ring the Bell. The
finding of this research was expected to be able to answer research questions. The
data analysis referred to the process of systematically in searching and arranging
the result of data by documentation . Based on the data analysis, it is found that
there are varieties levels of comprhension that found from both texts of course
book. The question of level comprehension that would be presented as the
explanation of clasification of those levels, It can be seen as the table below
:a.Questions one of English on Sky BookThe questional of level comprehension
would be presented and clasified into three catagories that were literal, inferential
and critical.
